Wanting to learn reading techniques I bought and studied Richards book. I began by highlighting things that I thought were very important so later I could make a personal set of notes to study from. After going through the book once and looking back I noticed that about 95% of the book was highlighted. You will use everything in this book. No fluff. The illustrations are helpful and the decriptions are insightful.

Richard Webster has written some of the best books available on metaphysical subjects. This book is no exception. Palm Reading for Beginners is a great way to learn the basics of this ancient craft, from the shape of the hands, to what can be gleaned from the lines of the palm, and how to approach a hand reading in a professional manner. I highly recommend this work to anyone who wants to learn the correct way to paractice palmistry.

All I can really say about this book is BUY IT! I have read about 10 books on pendulums, and without a doubt this book outshines them all. I can't really put my finger on it, but you wont be able to put this book down! It reads so good and has a very good feeling to it. EVERYTHING in this book is interesting for beginners and advanced energy workers. I absolutely love it, and would recommend it to any of my friends.

I bought this book when it first came out and have consulted it through the years. As tarot studies become more accepted and better understood, this book is bound to become a classic. Barbara Walker has researched her book extensively and makes sure to note all the necessary references. Just for the references, it is worth buying. When we consider new additons to tarot history, like Paul Huson's recently published book on the mystical origins of the tarot, we realize how scholarly research is really at the core of serious understanding of any subject, especially such topics as cartomancy, which most people reject as not worthy of any study. This book should be part of any serious core collection on this much maligned and misunderstood subject.
